ABBPAST PUBLICATIONS

When in 2012 I set out to to tell the story of the 18 men who are named on the villages War Memorial in the village church, in what we called The Roll of Honour Project it was to simply tell the village who their WW1 fallen men were. I saw it is important to describe their village story, who they were, where they lived and what their occupations were, whilst my co-researcher Nick Nicholson was interested in their military careers and what they were doing when they died. Out of that came the first publication, funded the National Lottery's 'World War 1 Then & Now' Fund. It grew from a simply story of 18 men to a tale of the village during that period of its history, and everything just followed on from them for the next 10 years.
